Strathcona Park Lodge is located 42 km west of Campbell River along scenic Hwy. 28 (also known as the Gold River Highway). Vancouver Island is accessible by regularly scheduled ferry, bus and air service.

Travel time is approximately 5.5 hours (including ferry ride) from Vancouver, 4.5 hours from Victoria, 2.5 hours from Nanaimo and 45 minutes from Campbell River by car.

All students can be dropped off in Campbell River at the Greyhound Bus Depot at 1290 Cedar St. on the day of course start. On the final day of the course, students can be picked up by parents at the same bus depot, or parents can come out to Strathcona Park Lodge for pick up. More specific details will be included in the Trip Information Package that will be sent out upon registration.

Horseshoe Bay (northwest of Vancouver) to Departure Bay (Nanaimo) = 1.5 hours sailing time
Tsawwassen (south of Vancouver) to Duke Point (Nanaimo) = 2 hours sailing time
Tsawwassen (south of Vancouver) to Swartz Bay (north of Victoria) = 1.5 hours sailing time
